If you’ve been following along with the free printable, you would have heard me say the same things time and time again. “Desperately looking for some happiness”, “I’ve been handed a whole basket of lemons” and “life has been testing my patience and kicking my butt” are the most recent. It’s be a whole year of so much change and turmoil. A year of bullying, harassment and intimidation. One day I will tell the whole story but for now, this is what I can share. Nevertheless, things did not go as I had planned but it’s not bad. Toxic people and places are out of my life and now is my chance to my life back. Oh boy…do I miss that person and I can’t wait to be truly happy again.
“There is a difference between giving up and knowing when you’ve had enough. Giving up is self-defeat. Knowing when you’ve had enough is self-care.” – Joanne Reed
The photo for the July free printable calendar was taken July 2010 at Maccles, Glovertown, NL, Canada. My now husband and I drove along the old railway bed and stopped at this random pond. The initial plan was to stop for a little bit of evening fishing. The plan was short lived…the flies had me “eat alive”. While the flies were filling up on my blood for their evening snack, I stood there, fishing rod in hand…admiring the colors of the sunset, the reflection and calmness of the water and the sounds of nature. Taking time to appreciate the creations of mother nature is definitely on my “do more of” list for my future self!
